Help make this holiday merry & bright
for the 12 boys & girls
we've adopted from
4 different Putnam City families!
Together, we can bring joy to children-in-need!
Kids who would otherwise have nothing to unwrap on Christmas morning.
During the holiday season, James L. Dennis Elementary adopts children in need through the Putnam City Schools CareShare program. Please help us purchase needed items and small gifts for the 12 children our school has adopted as a whole.
It was decided the best way to fulfill the needs of these children would be to collect monetary donations and task our PTO to do the shopping. We aim to donate a combination of clothing and toys to each child and have a goal of raising $900 to help make that happen. If we raise more, we will spend every dollar on these children or ask the CareShare program to let us donate to other families.
You can also send cash or checks (written to JLD PTO) to the school in an envelope labeled CareShare.
You may have heard of this program before or remember getting information about your classroom's adopted child to aid you in shopping for them specifically. However, we know that many families in our school community are still struggling during this time. Thus, instead of adopting one child per classroom, we have adopted 12 children for our school to help as a whole.
If your family wishes to adopt additional children or knows of someone that would like to help...
Please contact Mrs. Derryberry at the school or find more information on the CareShare program itself HERE.
Thank you for your generosity!
